Bjorn - means "Bear" from Norwegian language.
Bjorn is about 14,5" (37cm) tall standing, from his paws to the tips of his ears. He is made of a high quality french silky cotton fur and fully stitched by me – NO MACHINE sewing.
His paws are made of leather.
He has been filled with a combination of wool,
polyester, and soft pellets, there are steel pellets added for weight. He has
been softly stuffed for ease of movement. The soft pellets make his tommy more
realistic.
He is four way jointed using disks and
cotter pins. There is no neck joint, instead a Lockline type plastic armature which
runs from head to tail down the back like a spine. He can not turn her head
like a traditional teddy bear, but more than makes up for that by being able to
move his head up and down, side to side and everywhere in between – HE is ALIVE
))). His arms and legs also have the same type armature to help with posing.
Bjorn’s face is partly needle felted with Troitckaya wool
which is very popular in many countries, also his face was trimmed to give a
realistic look.
Because the bears faces are created like this, without a pattern, they can never be recreated, giving each bear an individual personality.
